Swigg Gin
Our first stop for #WelshGinMonth is with Swigg Gin situated in the Bay of Swansea. It was launched in 2019 by founders of the Swigg bar & restaurant at Swansea Marina.
Both Bar & Gin are named after a buoy in the Bay & stands for ‘South West Green Grounds’. This buoy is a landmark for a Swansea farm, forest & village called ‘Green Grounds’ that got washed away by a tsunami in 1607!

The gin is inspired by the botanicals found in the Swansea area, including nettles, orange blossom, moorland heather & Welsh honey Giving you a sweeter gin, sharing characteristics of an Old Tom style gin. They recommend the gin is served with light tonic, orange and rosemary
