Cygnet Orange Sour
Today’s serve is a spin on a Gin Sour using the delicous @cygnet_distillery
The gin is made with orange peel, along with lime, lemon and pink grapefruit peel so I wanted to add citrus, with the fresh orange and lemon juices, to enhance its flavour and bitterness. Pairing it with the beautiful Grand Marnier liqueur with its flavours of bitter orange and candied zest was a match made in heaven. The egg white brought it together with a beautiful velvety texture and finishing with the orange and aromatic bitters truly gave the cocktail depth and a delicous flavour of orange

▪️Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin @cygnet_gin – 40ml
▪️Grand Marnier – 25ml
▪️Fresh Orange Juice – 25ml
▪️Fresh Lemon Juice – 20ml
▪️Simple Syrup – 15ml
▪️Bob’s Orange & Mandarin Bitters – 2 Dashes
▪️Angostura Bitters – 2 Dashes
▪️Egg White
▪️Charred Orange Garnish

Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker & dry shake to whip the egg & combine the ingredients. Then add ice to the shaker & shake again to chill. Double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice & garnish with a charred orange, which gives a beautiful bouquet. Joiwch
