Bara Brith Alexander
Shwmae. Today’s serve for our #WelshGinMonth is a spin on the classic ‘Alexander’ dessert cocktail, first thought to have been made by Troy Alexander at Rectors in New York. It was originally made with gin, but today has spawned many variations, the most popular being a ‘Brandy Alexander’
I used the epic Bara Brith Gin from @snowdoniagin which is a celebration of the traditional Welsh tea loaf I infused it with raisins to enhance it’s delicous dried fruit flavour and added Aromatic bitters, which is a great marriage with the gins spiced flavour

▪️Raisin Infused Snowdonia Bara Brith Gin – 40ml
▪️Crème de Cacao – 20ml
▪️Cream – 30ml
▪️Bob’s Abbotts Bitters – 2 Dashes
▪️Grated Nutmeg & Bara Brith Garnish

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice & shake. Double strain into a cocktail glass & garnish with grated nutmeg & a piece of Bara Brith. Joiwch
