Llandysul is our next stop for #WelshGinMonth with @damhiledistillery and their incredibly unique Organic Seaweed Gin
Dà Mhìle all started when John, Patrice and Paula came to Wales from their native Holland with dreams of setting up a centre for organic farming and self-sufficiency. Their first venture was the beautiful Caws Teifi Cheese. When they wanted to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of creating Cheese, John wanted an organic whisky, but he found out there was no such thing. Dà Mhìle was established and organic whisky was born!
The name was inspired by the initial bottling which was done to celebrate the millennium, (Dà Mhìle translates to ‘two thousand’ in Scots-Galic/Dwy Fil yn Gymraeg)
Today they create a full range of incredible organic spirits, from Apple Brandy to Seaweed Gin, all inspired by their history and surroundings

Their Seaweed Gin is a savoury gin, originally designed to complement seafood. It is a garden herb led gin which they infuse with organically sourced seaweed once it has been distilled. It makes a truly unique Gin & Tonic, recommended is a natural tonic and a sprig of rosemary and slice of lemon
